This post was last updated on August 5th, 2019 at 02:34 pm

Cybercrime is a serious threat to public and private higher educational institutions. As malware, cybercrime, and hacking evolves they present a greater threat to private and public educational institutions, which are often underprepared to handle cyber attacks. Further, educational institutions and their computer networks are comprised of a high number of devices with relatively low requirements for security and protection.

This educational security brief explores the cyber threats facing educational institutions and highlights several ways they can defend themselves, their networks, and their students/staff against cyber attacks.
