ectacom GmbH to bring the Infocyte HUNT to the DACH Region and Central Europe
SAN ANTONIO, TX, USA and Hamburg, Germany; December 8, 2016
Infocyte, a provider of endpoint hunt technology that detects hidden malware and persistent threats, announced today it has signed a partnership agreement with German-based distributor ectacom GmbH. As a distribution partner, ectacom GmbH (ectacom) will make Infocyte HUNT™ available to the company’s customers and expansive portfolio of partners throughout the DACH region, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Central Europe.
Tome Spasov, the CEO and Chief Cybersecurity and Threat Intelligence Analyst at ectacom, said, “ectacom’s mission is to bring new sophisticated technologies and services to Central and Eastern European markets. Our partnership with Infocyte allows us to expand our security solutions portfolio to include threat hunting, offering customers the latest in malware detection and creating new revenue streams for our channel partners.”
Infocyte HUNT is designed specifically to detect if malware is present on network endpoints. It scans and detects the post-intrusion activity, active or dormant, of attackers who have successfully evaded an organization’s real-time defenses and established a beachhead within the network. It reduces the breach detection gap – the time that exists between infection and discovery – denying attackers the ability to persist, restoring trust in a network’s health.
“We are excited to partner with ectacom to expand our footprint across DACH and Central Europe,” said Infocyte CEO, Chris Gerritz. “With Mandiant citing the average time a threat lays undetected as 469 days for the European market, the ability to provide effective threat hunting to the region provides a huge market opportunity. The Infocyte HUNT platform detects malware hidden in the deepest corners of an enterprise, helping companies close the gap by effectively managing breach detection to ensure swift mitigation.”

Despite the rich data provided by SIEMs, organizations find themselves drowning in false positives, making it difficult to focus on high-priority events. This problem of alert fatigue prevents cyber security teams from identifying and addressing real threats – impacting small teams with no SOC, large enterprise teams with a SOC, and MSSPs overseeing the security for many SOCs/customers.Read More »
