Infocyte’s threat hunting recognized by cybersecurity resource’s Annual Trust Awards
San Antonio, TX – Nov. 21, 2016: Infocyte, a provider of hunt technology that eradicates malware and persistent threats, today announced that Infocyte HUNT has been recognized as a Trust Award finalist in the Best Computer Forensic Solution category for the 2017 SC Awards. The finalists and winners for the Trust Awards are chosen by a distinguished group of leading cybersecurity professionals from the SC Media readership and selected by the SC editorial team. Winners will be announced at the SC Awards 2017 ceremony to be held February 14, 2017, in San Francisco.
“Ransomware, nation-state cyber attacks, IoT vulnerabilities, data privacy issues and more are dominating the headlines right now and it’s critical that we amplify the importance of these problems and highlight the actions organizations can take to safeguard their organizations and their critical data assets,” said Illena Armstrong, VP, editorial, SC Media. “As bad actors are constantly changing strategy, so too are the men, women, and companies endeavoring to stop them in their tracks. These finalists have shown that they are the best at what they do.”
The SC Awards, now in its 20th year, are recognized throughout the industry as the gold standard of excellence in cybersecurity. With the awards, SC Media recognizes the achievements of cybersecurity professionals in the field, the innovations happening in the vendor and service provider communities, and the vigilant work of government, commercial and nonprofit entities. Vendors and service providers who offer a product and/or service for the commercial, government, educational, nonprofit or other industries are eligible for the SC Awards’ Trust Award category.
“We are honored to be recognized by the SC Awards for the innovative approach Infocyte is taking to automate threat hunting, making it possible for any organization to discover hidden malware that has breached existing security,” said Chris Gerritz, CEO and Co-founder of Infocyte. “Infocyte HUNT takes what traditionally has involved highly manual processes and specialized forensics knowledge, and automates the process to make it simple for an organization’s administrators and IT Security professionals to identify issues and take corrective action.”
“Infocyte has demonstrated that they are among the best in the industry at threat hunting,” added Armstrong of SC Media. “Being a Trust award nominee is a special honor as it demonstrates that you are at the top of your game, and your peers know it.”
