Infocyte Appoints Kurt Mueffelmann as President and COO

Seasoned security executive brings rapid growth experience to Infocyte’s Malware Hunt enterprise

San Antonio, TX / Boston, MA – February 24, 2016 – Infocyte, a provider of malware hunt technology, today announced that Kurt A. Mueffelmann has been appointed to the newly created position of President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). He will be responsible for defining the company’s overall growth strategy and will oversee the day to day execution of the business by driving the go-to-market strategy, as well as building the sales, marketing and operational teams across the business.

“We look forward to Kurt bringing his leadership and industry experience to Infocyte,” stated Infocyte Founder and CEO, Chris Gerritz. “Kurt’s experience as a proven and growth-oriented technology leader is exemplified by the naming of two of his prior companies to the Deloitte Fast 500 recognizing them as the fastest growing technology companies in the US.”

Mueffelmann brings 25 years of CEO-level business management and leadership experience to Infocyte, having overseen the rapid growth and successful sale of four separate tech-related companies: Cryptzone, HiSoftware, Create!form and RealWorld. His responsibilities in his previous roles have included defining and directing worldwide strategic and operational direction, product strategy, sales, and market expansion and international growth.

“I welcome the opportunity to join Infocyte and foster its growth. The company has developed an innovative solution to a significant area of enterprise risk through the exposure of undetected breaches sitting on a network,” stated Mueffelmann. “Infocyte enables organizations to discover security breaches and deny attackers the ability to persist on their networks undetected – all without the burden of complicated equipment or endpoint agent installations.”

Infocyte provides malware hunt technology developed by former US Air Force cybersecurity officers. The company closes the Breach Detection Gap – the time that exists between infection and discovery – denying attackers the ability to exploit resources and restoring network health.
