Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst

Location: Austin, Texas or Remote

Infocyte is the only Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider solely focused on detection and response, enabling customers to deploy it with their existing Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) investments or MS Defender.

Role Description:

As part of the Infocyte CommandTM Services, we operate a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center to aid our customers in their response to cyber threats in real-time. The Infocyte CommandTM Security Operations Center (SOC) is currently hiring for a SR. SOC Analyst for our Austin, Texas office. This SOC Analyst will primarily be responsible for discovery, analysis, response, and remediation for tier 2 and 3 triaged alerts and threats.


  • 6+ years of Security Operations Center, Security Analysis, and Cyber Threat Research experience.
  • Experience creating, implementing, and executing Incident Response Plans.
  • Industry standard security certifications (e.g. CSA, CEH, GIAC).
  • Knowledge of TCP/UDP/IP networking, familiarity with packet analysis tools, such as WireShark, and a general understanding of networking protocols.
  • Expert level - PowerShell, bash, and other scripting capabilities.
  • Elastic / Kibana configuration and administration experience.
  • Have effective communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

  • Work with customers through all aspects of Command Services, including onboarding, support, and Incident Response.
  • Analyze and respond to malicious attacks against Infocyte’s customer base.
  • Analyze zero day compromises and threats--becoming a SME on emerging TTPs.
  • Create and deliver standing reports on the malware discovered in the customer environment.
  • Assist with writing technical content, such as help guides, user guides, and other relevant documentation.
  • Adopt a broad range of responsibilities, including software administration, malware analysis, and threat report creation.

Chief Marketeer & Digital Marketing Director

We have 200+ MDR subscribers, 150K+ endpoints under management and grew revenue 80% last year. Our online trials and product subscriptions are exploding. We need the right marketing leader with a marketing ops focus to take us to the next level.

Role Description:

We are looking for a versatile Digital Marketing leader that enjoys working in a fast moving business and can handle the challenges of a high growth, early stage SaaS Cybersecurity company. You will work closely with the management team, engineering and sales to build the Infocyte online brand, drive SEO and high value content, B2B demand generation, social engagement and PR.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall strategy, operations and experience across Infocyte’s digital channels
  • Leverage data and technology to deliver outstanding experiences for website visitors, including prospects, customers and partners
  • Develop and drive rich security content (with leadership team and founders) and SEO strategies to build organic traffic and expand online presence
  • Drive Infocyte trials, conversions and purchases across
  • Drive and Manage demand gen campaigns and spend (e.g. AdWords, LinkedIn, Syndication, Referrals) to reach Partners and Enterprise Customers
  • Partner with field and inside sales teams to achieve targeted demand generation targets
  • Work closely with our security partners (MSSPs, Consultancies and IR firms) to develop and run programs to sell Infocyte to their customers 
  • Manage and optimize marketing operations with third party platforms: Pardot, Outreach, Salesforce, etc.
  • Drive for continued performance improvements through UX optimization and continuous A/B testing
  • Social: Build engagement through social platforms and influencers, extending our reach
  • Individual contributor position with ability to leverage contractors as needed

Requirements, knowledge, skills & abilities: 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, well-funded security startup, wearing many hats.   
  • Self starter, driving marketing projects and engagement across the organization
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong digital affinity
  • 5+ years of digital marketing operations in agency or B2B software startup.   Hands-on experience with WordPress (WP engine), Pardot, Salesforce, Google Adwords, SEO and social measurement tools and responsive design
  • Deep understanding of driving marketing performance through effective content delivery, SEO, marketing automation and inbound lead capture
  • Strong analytical and operational abilities. You love working with data, analyzing outcomes and scoping out key insights to establish continuous optimization. Background in web analytics (using Google Analytics) and social monitoring platforms.
  • Understands the principles of great web design, rich content, SEO, and online subscription.
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices, implementation and monitoring
  • Organized self-starter who demonstrates creativity and drive in promoting the corporate brand
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and project management skills
  • Keen understanding of Enterprise or Cybersecurity software a must
  • Experience selling to and through partners (MSSPs, IR Firms, consultancies, etc) a plus

Test Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas or Remote

Test Engineers at Infocyte have the opportunity to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment where they will have a direct influence on the success of releasing key product features to Infocyte’s customers and partners.  The Infocyte culture is centered on self-organization and contributors are given considerable ownership of the problems they are asked to solve and are held to a high standard for the effort that is delivered.  A successful team member will have the ability to hit the ground running and quickly become a contributing member of the development team.  

The primary requirement for this role is test development, execution, and managing the regression testing of Infocyte’s test suite for the product. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, process-focused, and self-motivating.  

The secondary requirement for this role will be to work with Infocyte’s customer success team to understand any reported bugs and issues, work through the reproduction of the issues, and then ensure regression tests are expanded to include the identified issue.

Must have experience:

  • Test automation in python using pytest or similar frameworks
  • Working knowledge of and interaction with HTTP APIs
  • Network and operating system troubleshooting in both Windows and Linux

Nice to have experience:

  • Experience running SQL queries
  • Experience working with AWS, including EC2 and Cloudwatch
  • Bachelors Degree in CIS or similar programs

Lead Developer

Location: Austin, Texas or Remote

The primary requirement for this role is to be a senior-level engineer that focuses on the back-end API, microservices and databases. The right candidate will be opinionated from experience yet open-minded to new approaches in order to collaboratively solve challenging problems that come along with innovation. 

The secondary requirement is to review incoming PRs from other development team members, offer suggestions for improvement if needed, and ensure a standard level of quality and code practices are maintained.

The best fit culturally at Infocyte is a willingness to be flexible and to jump in and help in other development areas as the need arises.  This could potentially provide exposure to all of our product suite, from platform independent systems programming in Rust to a Python test suite using Ansible to test said code in AWS EC2, for example.

Must have experience

  • 5-10 years of experience with architecture, development, testing, and a craving for diving head-long into complex problems and owning delivery.
  • Recent experience with modern JavaScript in Node.js for JSON APIs and microservices
  • Experience with relational and document databases. Uses SQL and related languages on a regular basis.

Nice to have experience

  • Asynchronous queue-based architectures such as AWS SQS
